Member Punjab Assembly, Muhammad Sanaullah Masti Khel has written a letter to Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in which he has informed him about the situation and has also explained about his attitutde regarding presenting resolution with regard to media in Punjab Assembly.
In a letter sent to Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Sanaullah Masti Khel has said that the resolution about media was prepared collectively by 17 members of all parteis present in the assembly and it was the result of that anger which was created by the media due to baseless criticism on members of Provincial Assembly and irresponsibile reporting. So far as the resolution is concerned, he said that he does not deny his responsibility but the fact is that he had presented this resolution under this impression that it is a collective decision. Masti Khel further said that it is quite right that he had to bring this thing into the notice of the party leadership before presenting this resolution but such an atmosphere was created due to the speeches of various members in which this resolution was presented which affected the relationship between media and the party. However, there was no bad intention in the decision of presenting this resolution, Sanaullah added.
Sanaullah Masti Khel further said that as soon as the angerness expressed by the Quaid Muslim League-N, come to their notice, all members of PML-N presented a new resolution in the assembly which was reflective of party stance of PML-N and every section of media is expressing its satisfaction over it.
Sanaullah Masti Khel expressed the hope that the party Quaid will accept his apology otherwise whichever decision is taken by the Quaid, it will be acceptable to him and he will abide by it in letter and spirit. He assured the Quaid PML-N that his philosophy of politics with regard to freedom of journalism and expression is acceptable to all party members and no one can even imagin to deviate from it.
Quaid PML-N Muhamamd Nawaz Sharif has constituted a special committee headed by Senior Provincial Advisor, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa for formulating recommendations in this regard. The committee comprising of MPAs Zaeem Qadri, Abdul Razzaq Dhilon and Rana Muhammad Arshad. The committee will give final shape to its recommendations within three days and will submit its report to Quaid PML-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
